We exist to glorify
God and tell of
His Good News.
The Glorify Initiative was created by me, Jacob Cavin. Recently, I have been overwhelmed by the glory of God, and have been called to glorify Him in any way I can, every chance I get. I created The Glorify Initiative to do just that.
Right now, The Glorify Initiative will sell original, inexpensive collections of Christain merchandise. New collections will be added once a month to expand our reach and range of products. However, I plan on adding much more to The Glorify Project as time goes on.
Who am I?
As I mentioned before, my name is Jacob Cavin. I am a 20-year-old college student from South Carolina. I'm going to a community college to get an Associate's degree in Applications Development.
I have always loved to create with technology. When I was around 9 years old, my cousins and I would create a funny, and incredibly cringy "TV show" with our parent's phones. When I was 11, I made my own blog. At 13, I made a YouTube channel, where I review tech products, which I worked hard at for 5 years until I stopped in 2020. In 2016, I also began developing iOS apps and found one of my passions. Ever since I can remember, technology has fascinated me, especially what I could do with it.
I always grew up in a "Christian" home. Church on Sundays, Bible study on Wednesdays, and so on. God was always a part of my life, but even then I never saw Him or cared that He was there. In 2012, God opened my parents' eyes. Starting with my mom, who had a very Paul-like experience. She wasn't planning on it or asking God into her heart, God just saved her. My dad followed two months later, in a very similar manner. Since then, incredible things have happened to my family. In short, we moved schools, moved from our church, moved houses, moved from lifestyles, and adopted another sister into our family. Quite literally God moved us in ways we never thought possible.
"he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons
through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose
of his will, to the praise of his glorious
grace, with which he has blessed us
in the Beloved."
Even so, I was blind to the work God was doing. I saw what was happening but either did not understand or just did not care. I did not have some huge, world-shattering moment like a lot of people think you should have. All I can say is that around November of 2020, I just began to believe. I mean like really believe. God started a process, slow as it may be, of teaching me to truly give my life to Him.
Since then, He has worked on me more than I ever thought possible. I have seen Him move in my life in such a way that is astounding to me even to this day. I still have MUCH to learn and He is revealing Himself more and more every day (praise Him for that!)
"Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed,
so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with
fear and trembling, for it is God who works in
you, both to will and to work for his
As I learn more and more about God, His rightful requirement, His command to us of glorifying Him has become abundantly clear to me. As I try to figure out what I want to do with my life, I know whatever I do, I want to glorify Him. I decided to start in the world I'm talented in, technology, by starting The Glorify Initiative. I have ambitious aspirations but as of now, I'm bringing original collections of Christian merchandise.
Honestly, I cannot wait to see where God takes me next. I cannot wait until I get to update this page with what He does next.
What do we believe?
I'm going to keep this short and sweet. Not because I think it is unimportant, it is incredibly important, but because it is very simple; I believe the Bible.
If we really must make distinctions and labels, I am reformed and go to a Presbyterian church. While I do go to a Presbyterian church, I would not say that I am Presbyterian or submit to the PCA. Though, their beliefs do closely align with what I believe.
What is important, however, is that I submit to God, therefore the Word of God, and that alone. If you truly want to know what I believe, just read the Bible. I believe every word, every utterance in it, and all the doctrines of God that flow from it.
"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for
teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for
training in righteousness, that the man
of God may be complete, equipped
for every good work.
2 TIMOTHY 3:16-17
